"JP Certified was founded in 2010. The name came from a customer who became a friend. He kept asking me if things around his house were “JP Certified,” meaning acceptable and approved by me. Is this boiler JP certified? Are these filters JP certified? Is this air conditioner JP certified?

I liked the ring of it. I liked the implication that I was giving a stamp of approval to a product, subcontractor, idea or service. So I changed the name from John Petitt Consulting to JP Certified! I no longer run around trying to do everything by myself. In fact, I have built an amazing, energized, one-of-a-kind team through a lot of luck and hard work. And now they have greatly surpassed my capabilities and have taken the company to a new level."
